How can i reduce armpit irritation when i shave?

Whenever i shave my armpits they get all red and bumpy and i get a lot of ingrown hairs and it hurts a lot so i hate shaving, what can i do??
Answer:
Use aftershave lotion or regular lotion when finished shaving.
You can buy one of those shavers where its not really a blade its just plastic but it still works and it wont cut you.
I have the same problem. You can get it waxed which kinda stinks caz u gotta let the hair grow out quite a bit. Or try shaving every other day or every two days and always use a brand new razor, it gets expensive but I found its the only thing that prevents razor burn and ingrown hairs.
I am guessing you are a female ... shave your armpits when you are in the shower - use lots of bubbles first then shave. Rinse off the bubbles. Also make sure the blade is a new (or not too often used) one. Too many shavings make it blunt and blunt is not good ! Then after showering, put a light dusting of talc on the armpit to relax the pores. Works for me ! Good luck.
U can warm your wash cloth with warms water and then lather it with soap. Then wash under your arms. While the foam is still under your arm you can begin to shave. This will reduce cuts and bumps.
